Maple Syrup-Here
at Quacks' Hocking Hills Maple Farm, we strive to produce the highest
quality Ohio maple syrups and sugars. Nestled in the Appalachian hills of
southeastern Ohio, our maple trees
are nurtured by sparkling spring waterfalls
created by the melting snows of winter and the gentle touch of warm summer sun.
Our syrup is pure. It's produced straight from the tree. Nothing but truly pure
maple sap is added. |

Ohio
Maple Syrup-Early Origins From the earliest days of our country, Americans have enjoyed a small taste of the northeastern forests. It started traditionally with small groups of native woodland tribes collecting sap in wooden troughs to sweeten and preserve their meat. It has has ended up a luxurious treat enjoyed around the world. In these fast-paced and often trying times, it's nice to settle back with the same warm, sweet taste of the Ohio Maple syrup our forefathers found irresistible and is now sampled and loved in almost every country. |

Not far from Hocking Hills Maple Farm's little sugar shack, the gently rolling wooded hills give way to unusual sandstone recess caves, rugged cliff sides and dense pockets of hemlock forests. Cascading waterfalls spill over into the dark crevices and at night, the sky fills with an astronomical delight of brilliant starlight. Home to Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkle's Hollow, Wayne National Forest and Zaleski State Forest, the area has fast become a premier getaway for both families and couples. If you like to hike, horseback ride, canoe or rock climb, it's a great place to visit. Cabins, cottages and inn rooms dot the countryside. There are antique shops, golf courses and outdoor dramas close by. On the second weekend of March, Hocking Hills State Park celebrates Maple Sugaring in the Hills. Celebrate the season with tours and samples at the park!
